Det absolutt beste du kan gjøre for deg selv, er å ta vare på deg selv og kroppen din. Så hvorfor er det da slik at mange av oss driver rovdrift på oss selv? Vi stresser, har for mye å gjøre, vi slapper ikke nok av, og vi spiser mat som ikke er bra for oss. Jeg har vært der, og jeg vet hva det gjør med kroppen når den ikke blir tatt vare på.
For 5-6 år siden, så nådde jeg toppen av selv-missbruk. Det vil si, at jeg spiste ikke riktig, og jeg tok ikke vare på kroppen min. Jeg tynte meg selv til det ytterste hvor kroppen til slutt sa stopp. Jeg havnet på sykehus med det jeg trodde var et hjerteinfarkt. Det var ikke det. Jeg tror det var kroppen som til slutt sa stopp! Den ville ikke mer, og jeg ble tvunget til å gjøre en endring i livet mitt. I disse årene, så har jeg jobbet hardt med meg selv. Jeg har tatt vare på kroppen min. Jeg sier ikke at det har vært lett, men jeg sier at det har vært verd investeringen 100% Jeg er så takknemlig og glad for den reisen jeg har tatt, og jeg er veldig takknemlig for å kunne dele mine erfaringer med deg. Over 6000 behandlingstimer har jeg bak meg med pasienter, og jeg har lært masse underveis. Det som er sikkert, og som jeg har erfart, er at dersom du skal endre deg selv, så må du ha et indre ønske om endring. Ingen kan få deg til å endre deg med mindre du virkelig vil det selv. Du kan si at du vil det, men jeg vil at du virkelig skal FØLE at du vil det.
Her har du 10 punkter til hvordan du kan investere i deg selv og din fremtidige helse:
1. Bruk 3 minutter på deg selv hver morgenen
Selv bruker jeg noen minutter i sengen hver morgen før jeg står opp. Jeg bruker litt tid på å se for meg hvordan dagen skal bli og hvordan jeg ønsker at den skal bli best mulig. Det er bare så godt å starte dagen på en positiv måte, og etter noen minutter så spretter jeg opp av sengen og bare gleder meg til å ta fatt på dagen.
Jeg vil anbefale deg å bruke noen minutter på bare deg og dine tanker (uten duppedingster, mobil, tv, musikk eller familiemedlemmer). Da kan du ta deg tid til å ta en indre reise – inn i ditt ubevisste sinn. Det er en utrolig behagelig følelse, og deg vil gi deg en følelse av indre ro. Nesten som indre spa. Jeg fikk ikke til dette i starten. Jeg klarte ikke å ligge i ro uten å gjøre noe. Jeg var alt for rastløs. Det sier vel sitt, og at jeg trengte det mer enn noen annen. Men jeg bestemte meg for å klare det – for min egen del. Nå klarer jeg ikke å starte dagen uten. Det gir meg en indre følelse av ro og velbehag, og jeg synes det er godt å starte dagen med å se for meg at den allerede ER god FØR jeg står opp. Enig? Det høres bra ut ja? Javisst, det er det også. Prøv det!
2. Ta det 2 minutter foran speilet og sett pris på deg selv
Dette kan høres rart ut for noen, men dette er veldig virkningsfullt. Ofte, når vi står opp om morgenen, så er vi raske på å kritisere oss selv og eget speilbilde. Kan du tenke deg dersom noen andre personer skulle HVER ENESTE MORGEN kritisere deg. At noen sier: «Nå ser du trøtt og uopplagt ut» eller «Nei, nå må du slanke deg» eller «Nå må du få på deg sminke slik at du ser bra ut». Vel, du kan prøve å observere dine egne tanker når du ser deg i speilet om morgenen. Sier du hyggelige ting til deg selv? Jeg har i alle fall ikke vært flink nok til det, men nå trener jeg på det hver eneste morgen. Jeg hilser velkommen til meg selv, og sier; «Jepp, du ser bra ut i dag også, he, he» Ja, jeg ler litt av meg selv også, for det er jo litt komisk, men det funker, og jeg kjenner på kroppen min at det gjør godt.
3. Finn ut hva du skal gjøre i dag som er positivt for deg selv
De fleste av oss har hverdager fulle av stress. Gå tilbake til forrige uke, og se hvor mange dager du bevisst satte av tid til å gjøre noe morsomt for deg selv. Jeg synes vi fortjener å gjøre noe godt for oss selv hver eneste dag. Ikke at det bare skjer, men at vi planlegger 1 positiv ting hver dag. Det trenger ikke å være noe stort. Du kan planlegge å bruke 30 minutter i badekaret alene. Eller spise deg en god lunch med en venninne (eller bare for deg selv). Du kan meditere, eller bruke tid på selvutvikling. Bare det er noe som du føler gjør deg godt, og som løfter deg.
4. Meditere
Som jeg skrev under punkt 1, så hadde jeg tidligere problemer med slappe av, og jeg kunne hverken meditere, ta yoga eller andre ting som gjorde at jeg ikke skulle gjøre noe. Men halleluja, når du knekker koden for meditasjon, så er det bare det beste i verden. Jeg elsker å meditere selv, eller via en guidet meditasjon. Det eneste du trenger å gjøre, er å sette på litt beroligende musikk, og starte en reise inn i deg selv. Du kan ha et bestemt fokus om du vil. La oss si at du er stresset, så kan du ha fokus på det motsatte, altså ro. Du kan reise inn i deg selv, og se for deg at du slapper av del for del i kroppen din. Du kan se for deg at du er slappet av i hodet ditt, så skuldrene dine, deretter armene osv. Ta del for del, og bare kjenn at du blir tyngre og tyngre i kroppen din. Jeg har forresten lagt ved en gratis og kort meditasjon til deg om du vil ha. Den ligger under punkt 10.
5. Vær snill med alle rundt deg
Kan det være at du er irritert i trafikken på dem som ikke kjører helt slik du ville gjort eller som sniker i kø på butikken? Da er du ikke den eneste. Vi blir ofte irriterte på andre mennesker for vi vil at de skal opptre med respekt. Det er ikke alle som har samme moral og etikk, eller som har samme synspunkt som deg, men om du irriterer det over det, så skaper du kun frustrasjon og irritasjon. Og den det går ut over er deg selv. Ingen andre. Det du sender ut kommer tilbake til deg selv. Sender du ut tanker som er negative, så vil du oppleve en negativ verden. Det samme skjer i motsatt fall. Om du har positive tanker, så endre verden seg. Enkelt og greit. Det er faktisk slik. Du blir hva du tenker. Jeg ønsker å være en snill person, og jeg ønsker å være snill med mennesker rundt meg. Det gjør meg godt i hjertet mitt. Og det gjør godt å vite at jeg kan gjøre en forskjell i andre sitt liv med bare et smil og kanskje et vennlig ord.
På metroen i New York, så gikk det en gruppe på 3 mennesker fra vogn til vogn. De hadde mat med seg, og tilbydde det til de som trengte det. Det eneste de bad om var at vi skulle gi 1 penny slik at de kunne fortsette arbeidet sitt. I tillegg sa de; «Om du ikke har 1 penny, så gi oss i alle fall et smil. Det betyr mer enn du tror!» For min del, så betydde det veldig mye at de sa akkurat det. Selv om du ikke har noe å gi bort, så har du alltid et smil å gi bort. Er ikke det fint?
6. Om du gjør feil, så tilgi deg selv
Vær din egen beste venn. Om du feiler, eller har gjort ting du skulle gjort annerledes, så glem det og tilgi deg selv. Se hva du kan lære av det, og gå videre. Ikke bank deg selv om ned negative tanker og negativt selvsnakk. Tenk etter hva din beste venn ville ha sagt til deg i lignende situasjon, og så sier du det til deg selv. Lær deg selv å snakke deg selv opp og frem. Lær deg selv og være glad i deg selv slik du er i din beste venn. Vi tilgir lettere andre enn oss selv. Rart spør du meg… Men det kan du snu på.
7. Skap din egen fremtid på bakgrunn av nåtiden og ikke fortiden
Hvor ofte har vi ikke definert oss selv på bakgrunn av vår egen historie. Vi tror at vi er dømt til å være den samme personen for resten av livet. Men slik er det jo ikke.

Det betyr at du kan omdefinere hvem du ønsker å være. Du kan omdefinere deg selv akkurat i dag, og du kan bestemme deg for hvem du ønsker å være som person. Jeg har skrevet litt mer om det HER (under punkt 3).
8. Pusten din
Bruk pusten din godt hver eneste dag. Når jeg gikk på en smell, slik jeg innledet med, så startet jeg med å bruke pusten min annerledes. Tenk, jeg kunne faktisk ikke puste skikkelig. Jeg hadde lært meg selv å stresspuste. Jeg pustet kun ned i brystkassen. Da sender vi inn stress-signal inn til kroppen vår, og den blir enda mer stresset. Jeg måtte lære meg å puste helt ned i magen min. Da oppfatter kroppen at du er rolig og avslappet. Det tok meg litt tid å lære denne teknikken, og nå bruker jeg den hele tiden. Jeg er bevisst min egen pust, og jeg kjenner at det gjør underverker med kroppen og hodet mitt. Vi damer er «gode» på å holde inn magen og holde pusten. Slipp ut magen folkens. Det gjør godt, he, he!

9. Hent inn humor i hverdagen din
Humor er en av de viktiste tingene du han ha i hverdagen for å ha det bra. Selv har jeg vært alt for selvhøytidelig. Jeg ble nesten irritert før dersom noen lo av meg. Det var fordi jeg var usikker på hva de egentlig mente. Det var ting inni meg som gjorde at i stedet for å se humor i situasjonen, så valgte jeg å se det som en negativ opplevelse. Nå har jeg lært meg til å se lettere på ting. Stole på meg selv, og jeg har lært meg å bruke selvironi på en god måte. Når man kan le av seg selv, eller le generelt av ting hver eneste dag, så tror jeg at man vil ha lettere og bedre dager.
Jeg har tatt vare på noen videoer fra nettet som er veldig morsomme. Disse tar jeg frem nesten daglig som jeg kan se på. Det kan være barn som ler (Som f.eks denne videoen. Eller andre ting, slik som denne). Om jeg ikke føler meg helt i form, så gjør jeg det i alle fall etter å ha sett en av disse. Man bare MÅ le. I tillegg, så synes jeg at de mest attraktive menneskene er dem som har selvironi. De som kan dumme seg ut, og bare le av seg selv. Jeg tror deg er bra at vi ikke tar ting så høytidelig, og at vi kan le av oss selv. Enig?
10. Avslutt dagen med å bruke 2 minutter hver kveld på hva som har vært bra
Selv bruker jeg alltid noen minutter hver eneste kveld på å «se» gjennom dagen. Da ser jeg etter det som har vært bra, og så blåser jeg det opp. Dersom det har vært noe som ikke har vært like bra, så ser jeg hva jeg kan lære av det slik at jeg kan gjøre det annerledes neste gang. Det er så godt å legge seg å sove med en god følelse i kroppen. Og husk; ditt ubevisste sinn tar med seg de siste tankene dine inn i søvnen.
Jeg og min mann har noe vi kaller for KISS-fasen. Det vil si KritiskInnSovninSfase. Derfor har vi laget det til et stikkord oss imellom. Dersom en av oss sier KISS-fase, så har vi ikke lov til å ta opp ting som økonomi, utfordringer etc. Det kan skape uro i det ubevisste sinnet, og da kan man sove dårligere. Det vil jeg tro at du har erfaring med selv. Den siste timen eller to før du skal sove, så kan det være lurt å roe kroppen helt ned, og bare bruke den på positive og gode ting. Ikke les arbeidsmail, ta opp økonomi med kjæresten din, eller andre ting som kan skape stress. Kom deg inn i Kveldsro-stemningen 
Derfor er det en fordel å avslutte dagen med positive og gode tanker. Da prosseserer du dem godt, og du vil nok sove bedre også.
